Wasteless Wednesday-Accent Walls

Remember that FREE PAINT offer a couple weeks ago from Glidden? My chocolate leather brown was delivered UPS right to my door. I was sooo excited!
You know when you get free paint you have to get started immediately! So let me show you what I did.

An accent wall! I've been admiring this on blogs, decorating shows and magazines. I did it I painted my first accent wall. It adds depth to the room. I love it and the best part it was FREE!!!
Would you join me in the journey of my living room..... noticed I changed the black frame to dark cherry stained frame. I think I am over my paint everything black stage.

No drapes and no balance. This room had me so frustrated!
See my old fan, and a hodge podge of decor. In it's yellow glory when we first purchased the house!

Whew, I am almost done. Any ideas what I can put on my chocolate walls?

Love it! I got my free paint yesterday too! I already started my project with it! I figured I would never get the paint, but was SO shocked when it arrived!

love the chocolate walls! I just painted an accent wall in my house too and LOVE the impact it made. It's crazy how just a little pop of color changes everything. Can't wait for my paint to get here!

LOVE those chocolate walls!! I'm like you, I have all black accents in my house, mainly black picture frames. All frames HAVE to be black! And my ceiling fans and curtain rods are dark cherry. How do I get out of the BLACK????? Ha Ha. You do so good at this re=decorating!! I love seeing it all.

I love the large star in one of the older pictures-do you still have it? Could you paint it to match your lamp shades or maybe white to match your shutters? A mirror could also go...

Got our sample today. Have no idea what we will paint as I need lots of paint!

Black paint success story- bought a second hand table for $3, painted it black and sold it for $25 on craigslist. Black still sells.

Your room looks very lovely. You have great ideas.
