During my little bloggy break I've been spending time with the kids and relaxing. I've even read a book. I finally jumped on the Twilight bandwagon and let me tell you.... LOVE IT!
I decided I would read it before Kate (12) was allowed to read it. I'm the type of parent that wants to know what my kid is up to. It was completely appropriate for a 7th grader. The love was very mild and well written. It also gives us something to talk about together.
I am now reading New Moon. I am so addicted!
I've been thinking more about Madelines new room and the baby nursery. I stumbled accross this photo on a blog. Sorry not sure which one (remember I have prego head right now), I am using their photo it looks great!
This inspired my theme for Madeline's big girl room. I am going to use this paint technique and we already have this exact chandalier in her nursery.
I am going to do white furniture. Of course at a garage sale hopefully next month. I want a scrolly headboard if that makes sense.
The next big decision.... bedding? I've been looking everywhere and nothing seems perfect. Anyone have any ideas or have you seen any bedding that would go with this look?

Jen, I agree completely! I have read all the Twilight books and loved them. I have a 12 year old too. I have let her read Twilight and New Moon but I have had to draw the line on the other two. They get more graphic as they go. I don't want to say more than that or I will ruin them for you. I also read and watch most everything before she does to make sure it is appropriate. A great site to run movies by is www.kidsinmind.com. They do a great job of breaking it down!
I read the whole series in about 2 weeks. I love the paint technique for her room!!
Love the Twilight series! And the room is sure to be as sweet as Madeline!
These 2 from PB Kids might work?

I LOVE that room! It is beautiful! I loved the Twilight series {I do think that #4 book is a little too much for a young one to read, too graphic}!
I'm so glad that I found your blog! I'm loving it here!
I haven't jumped on the Twilight bandwagon. I have a almost 16 yr old and he didn't read them. (I wonder why, ha!) Anyway, I love the nursery but I am no help with the beding. It has been too long for me:)
I recently got bedding for the boys at Ikea. It's held up great and at only $12 for the duvet cover and pillow, I don't have to be overly committed to it later!
